Prudent to test prawns for residues

WE refer to the statement made by Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Sim Tze Tsin in his Facebook post that Malaysian farmed prawns are safe for consumption.

In the post, Sim said: “The Department of Fisheries has a stringent monitoring system against all shrimp farms across the country. Regular checks and enforcement are done to ensure Malaysian food safety and export quality.”
