Get wasted food where it’s needed

WE often read about families in dire straits, eking out a living, struggling just to put food on the table. Young children from these families help by foraging for whatever recyclables that they can find to exchange for cash, often risking their lives in unhealthy and dangerous environments to do so.

On the other end of the scale, we see food wastage. The more affluent in society organise lunches and dinners at social gatherings where lots of food is often abandoned. Such food would go a long way towards helping those poor families.
