THE volume of traffic at the Gombak toll is usually very high during festive seasons. A few days before and after the festivals, it can take between two and three hours to travel from the Gombak toll plaza to the Bentong toll plaza on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway. The normal travelling time between the two toll plazas is between 30 and 40 minutes.
The volume of traffic is also high on Sunday evenings nowadays, as this highway gets a lot of traffic from the east coast and Genting Highlands.
