Helping teachers to improve their performance

FROM my five decades of administering and teaching in both government and private schools, I have come to realise that inspection or observation of teaching and learning is very important for the improvement of education in our country.

The Education Ministry can come up with blueprints or curriculum to raise the quality of our education to world class level but monitoring and inspection of schools to ensure that teachers teach and students learn effectively should never be underestimated.
