I BELIEVE many Malaysians were taken aback by the unexpected announcement of our Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammed, after the rally on Saturday to protest the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (Icerd), that local council elections would not be held.
The people are asking why and for how long will they be denied to vote for their local council representatives.
