I AM a 67-year-old senior citizen who served in a public university for over 34 years. On Oct 10 at 12.30pm, I drove to the Petaling Jaya police station (Traffic Branch) to collect a police report which I needed to file an insurance claim.

As it was raining rather heavily and the gate to the compound was wide open, I drove straight in since the two guards who normally man the gate were nowhere to be seen. Other cars were also going in and coming out of the compound.
