MALAYSIA signed the Convention on the Elimination of All forms of Discrimination Against Women (Cedaw) in 1995. As a signatory to Cedaw, which is often described as an international bill of rights for women, our country joined the global community in an agreement to work towards elimination of all forms of discrimination against girls and women.
These forms of discrimination encompass areas such as employment opportunities and benefits, family rights, educational opportunities, healthcare and reproductive rights.
