Leakage that pensioners cannot afford


I REFER to the letters “Pensioners appeal for swift payment” (The Star, Aug 7) and “More inconvenience for anxious pensioners” (Aug 9).

At a breakfast rendezvous with my friends last week, we discussed the new arrangement for the supply and procurement of medicines and medical equipment to pensioners. We had heard that there were many cases of pensioners still waiting, some for months now, for reimbursements of their claims for the purchase of prescribed medicines and medical equipment that are no longer supplied by Oratis.
