Cabbies must have common courtesy


IT is recommended that taxi drivers in Malaysia inculcate common courtesies such as politeness, honesty and friendliness. Sadly, there are still taxi drivers who are charging fees as they like by not using meters.

Recently, I had to take a cab seven times during the day in the course of my work in Johor Baru. A few drivers were actually rude and abusive when I hesitated to get into their taxi because of their exorbitant fees. One driver shouted at me saying, “If you don’t want, don’t want lah, who cares!”
