Hold more road safety operations

THE recent Chinese New Year Ops Selamat road safety campaign 10/2017 was reported to have seen a reduction in the number of road fatalities compared to the same period last year. The number of fatalities dropped from 279 deaths last year to 257 during the Ops Selamat 10/2017 period.

This deserves praise and, going forward, more measures need to be introduced so that the numbers could be brought down further.
