I REFER to the letter “Case of too many cooks” (The Star, July 18). It is deeply regrettable that many policies were publicly announced and subsequently pulled back. This clearly shows that our Government’s decision-making mechanism needs to be reviewed to avoid further embarrassment.
The proposal not to allow people to enter the airport must be considered carefully, and all stakeholders must be engaged before the decision is made and announced. Apart from the adverse effects highlighted by MATTA in the report “MATTA: Passengers only rule will ‘kill’ retailers” (The Star, July 18), there are many passengers who need guidance from their friends or relatives at the airport.
