Low priority for saving water

IF you ask policymakers, regulators and even civil society organisations what they have done to create awareness on water conservation, including reducing the volume of non-revenue water (NRW), you might be told that a lot of activities have already been carried out for this purpose. In some cases, taxpayers money was used to fund these campaigns and other similar initiatives.

Based on data extracted from the Malaysian Water Industry Guide (MWIG), Forum Air Malaysia (FAM) reviewed the volume of NRW and per capita water consumption (per litre/person/day) of Malaysians from 2005 up to 2014.
