THE Government duly takes note of the statement by the Conference of Rulers during their pre-council meeting. Verily, it shows that the principles of constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy in Malaysia complement one another.
The Government is committed to upholding the system of separation of powers, hence every organ of the Government must be allowed to function in the context of the Federal Constitution. This includes provisions relating to the powers of the Conference of Rulers.
