CYCLING in the Kuala Lumpur context appears to be overtly concerned and concentrated on cycling in the inner city. There is a lot of money and effort spent on infrastructure and campaigns to get people to cycle to work in the inner city.
But cycling is by no means the only form of transport that is green in nature and involves human effort. The other form is walking, and I am advocating that walking be one part of the urban transport system besides cycling and riding on public transport.
