Address the environmental concerns

BUDGET 2015, while offering several proposals in assisting the rakyat with hardships, is unduly silent on the management of the environment, especially natural spaces. This is notably different from the last budget, which had a dedicated section on the environment.

It is assumed that given that this is the last budget in the implementation of the 10th Malaysia Plan, measures provided in the last budget, such as the Environment Social Governance (ESG) index, Conservation Trust Fund, MyCarbon portal and Malaysian Green Foundation and other measures in the past, were deemed to contribute towards the plan’s environmental goals.
