Indian and Chinese devotees holding trays of fruits and flowers as offerings during the chariot procession by the Sungai Ara Sri Bathra Kaliamman Temple to mark the end of the nine-day Navarathri Festival. Monday, October 14 2013 / ZAINUDIN AHAD/

I REFER to the article “Chinese devotees join Navarathri do” (The Star, Oct 16).

The article proved that the cross-cultural environment that we are exposed in Malaysia does not shake our beliefs when we join those of other faith at their cultural or religious events.
