The brutal suicide bombing may have stunned Solo and the rest of Indonesia, but it won’t prevent the city from rebounding. With capable leaders like Jokowi at the helm, Solo will move on and ahead, as it always has.

THE suicide bombing of the Bethel Injil Sepenuh Church (GBIS) in Kepunton, Solo, over the weekend was a barbaric act. It was a stark reminder that, Indonesia’s booming economy and vibrant democracy aside, there are still forces determined to destabilise the archipelagic nation.
