Dangling from ropes, anchors and pulleys is all in a day’s work for Rodney Simon Yapp who changes bulbs and washes windows more than 100m above sea level. But he tells SHANTINI SUNTHARAJAH that his dangerous occupation is a lot safer than rock climbing. 

FOR Rodney Simon Yapp “hanging by a thread” is not just an expression – it is a literal description of his day job. Yapp is a manager at Iratec (M) Sdn Bhd, a company that provides services and training related to the maintenance and repair work of high-rise buildings.
