Abolish streaming system in schools

School reopened and Jenny went, excited to meet her friends. To her disappointment, she didn’t meet the grades needed to maintain her place in the ‘A’ class. She had been demoted down a class. She felt humiliated, her self-esteem dropped.

Why do we still practise streaming in schools? I feel that it should be abolished. It really affects students. They may work hard but because of stiff competition they do not make it to the ‘A’ class. I’m sure that those in other classes are not of lesser intelligence.
