MEMORIES of Moon Gate and beyond were triggered off by a story published in The Star on Aug 14 (right) when local historian Raymond Kwok speculated that the mansion probably belonged to the late Cheah Chen Eok.
He had come to the conclusion after interviewing older Penangites, including Lim Kean Chye, 86, a retired senior lawyer.
