I REFER to your report, “Assurance on NPE toll charge”, (The Star, May 14). 

It is ironic that Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu mentioned that the expressway was the best solution to alleviate the traffic congestion on the Federal Highway and that his ministry had always considered the convenience of the people when starting a project.
