He may have retired 16 years ago as director-general of the Social Welfare Department, but Prof Datuk Dr Abdullah Malim Bagindacontinues to be very much involved in social development work, especially with the elderly, writes WONG LI ZA. 

WHEN people say 70 is a ripe old age, Prof Datuk Dr Abdullah Malim Baginda would agree with “ripe” as being mature and experienced. But he would definitely protest if “old” is taken to mean sitting at home doing nothing.
