THOUSANDS came to Ground Zero on Thursday to remember the 2,792 who died in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre (WTC) in downtown Manhattan on Sept 11 two years ago. 

For many, it seemed like only yesterday. It was a low-key remembrance day, minus the many VIPs who were at last year's event including President George W. Bush.
