IT MAY have come as a sort of relief that the Health Ministry has confirmed one death due to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), the deadly disease that has killed and infected many people worldwide. 

With deaths reported in China, where it originated, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Canada, Malaysia surely is not that lucky that it has not been infected.
