IT is hoped that bilateral relations between India and Malaysia will return to normal now that the controversy over the treatment of 186 Indian nationals during a police raid has been settled.

Malaysia last week apologised for the incident following the strong protest by New Delhi over the incident. Acting Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi also directed Wisma Putra to do whatever necessary to settle the issue.
