WE took a day trip to Pulau Ketam, Selangor, recently. According to the tour operator, the boat ride from Port Klang to Pulau Ketam was about 45 minutes but the return journey would take twice as long. We wondered why.

Pulau Ketam is one of the three big islands opposite Port Klang. It was razed by fire twice but it was rebuilt. Today it remains a fishing village with a population of 8,000.
