When Dr Fadzil and I were trapped in dressing room with Thomas Cup squad


WHEN I received the sad news of Datuk Seri Dr Abdullah Fadzil Che Wan’s passing at the age of 78 on Wednesday, two incidents that took place decades ago immediately sprang to mind.

The first, the crowd disturbance in the Thomas Cup final in Jakarta in 1994 and the second, when I was advised to issue an apology to him.
