The language of violence


PERHAPS the haze was a foreboding of things to come.

If anyone thought the obliteration of the sun was a harbinger of terrible things, they were not wrong. On Oct 7, the long developing pus of a deep wound burst open and violence broke out into the open. We have now seen the toll it has taken, with many deaths, including that of children, the denial of food, water and electricity and almost certain death from starvation, from lack of healthcare and from the sheer stress of trying to escape bombing when there is really nowhere to go.
