Jailed tycoon gets penalty mitigation of 10 months


CHINESE tycoon Huang Guangyu, who has been serving his 14-year jail term in Beijing since 2008, was rewarded a penalty mitigation of 10 months for his good behaviour in the jail.

The disgraced chairman of Gome Electrical Appliances Holdings Ltd has been transferred to the jail’s greenhouse where he and other prisoners are responsible for tending to the garden and landscape in the jail, said local Chinese reports.
