Former Malaysian model Carol Chu – the wife of Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau – was recently spotted taking part in a Buddhist activity in mainland China.

Photos circulating online show the 59-year-old aboard what appears to be a ship, dressed simply in an oversized tee, with her hair tied in a ponytail and a face mask covering her face.

According to HK01, she carried a luxury bag worth nearly HK$50,000 (RM25,278), adding a subtle touch of glamour to her understated look.

Despite keeping a low profile, Chu was still easily recognisable.

Those who encountered her remarked on her flawless complexion, noting the absence of any visible wrinkles.

Lau, 64, and Chu secretly registered their marriage in 2008 after many years of dating.

The couple, who has largely kept their private life out of the spotlight, shares a 13-year-old daughter Hanna.

China Press previously reported that Lau had invested RM100mil in a private jet to prevent paparazzi from getting wind of Chu’s annual trips to her hometown in Penang.

The actor had also reportedly hired four bodyguards and three nannies exclusively for his wife and daughter’s daily needs.
