Hong Kong singer-actress Nancy Wu has left TVB after more than 20 years with the broadcaster.

The 44-year-old shared the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday (Feb 4), revealing that she’s embracing a fresh start as the new year begins.

“I’ve decided to step out of my comfort zone and explore more of the world on my own. I’m looking forward to new experiences, new creations and new sparks,” she captioned her post.

Wu, who’s married to Hong Kong-based surgeon Akin Chan, also thanked her managers and colleagues at TVB and Shaw Brothers for their support and care throughout her career.

The Ghost Of Relativity star then concluded her post by wishing everyone good health, peace and happiness.

For the record, Wu joined showbiz in 1999 after participating in TVB’s Annual New Talent Singing Awards, where she finished fourth.

She went on to win TVB’s Annual Cover Girl competition in 2001 before enrolling in the broadcaster’s acting class.

During her time with the agency, Wu has starred in dramas such as D.I.E., The Silver Chamber Of Sorrows, The Wars Of In-Laws II and The Legend Of The Demigods – all of which won her the Most Improved Female Artiste honour at the TVB Anniversary Awards.
