AS the 2024 winter gave way to the milder chills of spring, I got a call from a news channel outside Malaysia that regularly covers the country.

They were doing a story on the impact of the falling ringgit on Malaysians. For context, they also needed to speak with those who had left for "greener pastures abroad". Could I be one of them?
