BERLIN, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- German sportswear giant Adidas reported a 13 percent year-on-year increase in third-quarter revenue in China, extending its run of sales growth in the country to 14 consecutive quarters, the company told Xinhua on Thursday.
Revenue in China reached 1.138 billion euros (1.27 billion U.S. dollars) in the third quarter, bringing the total for the first nine months of 2026 to 3.227 billion euros (3.6 billion dollars), up 15 percent year-on-year.
Adidas described China as one of its most important strategic markets and attributed the sustained growth to product innovation and locally developed designs.
Globally, revenue rose 7 percent from a year earlier on a currency-neutral basis to a quarterly record of 7.25 billion euros (8.1 billion dollars), while operating profit climbed 37 percent to a quarterly record of 1 billion euros (1.12 billion dollars), the results showed.
Europe was the only market where revenue declined in the third quarter, with revenue down 4 percent year-on-year, the figures showed. Adidas expected sales in the region to return to growth in the fourth quarter, supported by delayed wholesale shipments and higher sales ahead of the year-end shopping season.
For the full year, the company raised its operating profit forecast to 2.5 billion euros (2.8 billion dollars), up from its previous projection of 2.3 billion euros (2.6 billion dollars).
