2 students killed in girls college attack in SW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Two female students were killed and another injured in an attack on a government girls' college in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said on Wednesday.

Four armed, masked men on two motorcycles attacked the Government Girls' Degree College in Nushki district on Tuesday, damaging security cameras and vandalizing the principal's office before opening fire, Bugti told a news conference in Quetta.

The injured students were shifted to hospitals, where two later succumbed to their injuries, he said, condemning the attack and accusing the banned Balochistan Liberation Army of carrying it out.

Bugti vowed to bring those responsible to justice, saying the provincial government would not close educational institutions because of terrorist threats and would ensure that children continued their education.
