Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices rose on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate for September delivery went up 2 dollars, or 2.33 percent, to settle at 87.83 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for October delivery gained 2.16 dollars, or 2.36 percent, to settle at 93.78 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
