Belarus' international reserve assets surpass 15.26 bln USD


MINSK, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Belarus' international reserves have exceeded 15.26 billion U.S. dollars as of May 1, 2026, the country's central bank said on Tuesday.

In April 2026, the reserves increased by 24.4 million dollars.

The largest shares of Belarus' reserve assets are held in foreign currency and monetary gold. As of May 1, foreign currency reserves amounted to 5.86 billion U.S. dollars, rising by 4.2 million dollars, while monetary gold reserves reached 7.99 billion dollars, increasing by 5.9 million dollars.

Under the monetary policy targets, Belarus aims to maintain its international reserves at no less than 9.2 billion U.S. dollars by the end of 2026.
