Surveillance drone downed near US embassy in Baghdad, Iraqi security sources say


BAGHDAD, ⁠April 30 (Reuters) - ⁠A surveillance ‌drone flying near the ​U.S. Embassy ⁠in Baghdad ⁠was shot down, ⁠Iraqi ‌security ⁠sources said early ​on ‌Thursday.

It was ⁠not ​immediately clear ⁠how it was ​shot down. The U.S. ⁠embassy and Iraqi defense systems ​were ⁠activated.
