Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices advanced on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate for May delivery gained 3.46 dollars, or 3.66 percent, to settle at 97.87 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for June delivery increased by 1.17 dollars, or 1.23 percent, to settle at 95.92 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
