NEW YORK, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Wednesday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased by 0.51 percent to 98.855 at 3 p.m. (2000 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1672 dollars from 1.1622 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound increased to 1.3350 dollars from 1.3211 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 155.15 Japanese yen, lower than 155.88 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar lost to 0.7994 Swiss francs from 0.8032 Swiss francs, and it fell to 1.3948 Canadian dollars from 1.3971 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar was down to 9.3744 Swedish kronor from 9.4286 Swedish kronor.
