Russia's new passenger car sales up 5 pct in November


MOSCOW, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Sales of Russia's new passenger cars reached 127,921 units in November, up 5 percent year on year, said Russian automotive analytical agency Autostat on Wednesday.

Domestic automaker Lada remained the market leader, accounting for more than 21 percent of the total sales volume, Autostat said.

From January to November, 1,189,546 new passenger cars were sold in Russia, down 17.8 percent from the same period last year, it said.
