U.S. stocks close higher

NEW YORK, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended higher on Monday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 49.23 points, or 0.11 percent, to 45,883.45. The S&P 500 added 30.99 points, or 0.47 percent, to 6,615.28. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased by 207.65 points, or 0.94 percent, to 22,348.75.
