5 killed in car accident in Russia's Sevastopol

MOSCOW, July 10 (Xinhua) -- The death toll of a traffic accident involving a passenger car and a minibus near the Russian city of Sevastopol has risen to five, the Sevastopol Police Department said on Thursday.

The accident occurred in the early afternoon on Thursday, local authorities said.

The driver of the car failed to yield to the minibus, which was being driven by a 45-year-old man, leading to the vehicles' collision, said the Sevastopol Police.

A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the traffic accident, the press service of the Regional Investigative Committee's Directorate said.
