Brunei records 19.4 pct drop in trade in April

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, June 26 (Xinhua) -- The total trade of Brunei in April saw a decrease of 19.4 percent year-on-year, official data showed on Thursday.

Total trade for April was 1,938.3 million Brunei dollars (1,524.1 million U.S. dollars), with exports valued at 1,167.1 million Brunei dollars (917.7 million dollars) and imports at 771.2 million Brunei dollars (606.4 million dollars).

Major contributors to export value were mineral fuels at 74.6 percent, followed by chemicals at 23.2 percent.
