Trump takes 246 electoral votes, Harris at 210, says NYT


PETALING JAYA: Former US president Donald Trump has gotten 246 electoral votes over Kamala Harris' 210 in the race to the White House, according to the New York Times.

As at 1.45pm, Trump has won in two of the key battleground states - North Carolina and Georgia.

The New York Times also put Trump at 93% chance of victory.

Republicans are favored to gain control of the Senate with the GOP having 51 seats over Democrats' 42 as at 1.50pm.

The Republicans are also ahead of the Democrats at the House of Representatives with 182 over 150.
