LISBON, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Portugal's exports and imports both declined in the first half (H1) of 2024, with exports down 0.9 percent and imports 2.5 percent compared to the same period last year, according to data released on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
The month of June witnessed a sharp decline, with exports decreasing by 3.8 percent and imports by 6.4 percent year-on-year, driven by significant drops in the transport equipment and energy sectors, the data shows.
