DODOMA, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Tanzanian Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism Angellah Kairuki said on Friday the number of foreign tourist arrivals rose to 1,808,205 in 2023 from 1,454,920 in 2022, an increase of 24.3 percent.
Kairuki said that among UN Tourism's best-performing destinations from January to December 2023, Tanzania ranked second in Africa and 12th in the world for attracting tourists after the COVID-19 pandemic.
