Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, May 6 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices inched up on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for June delivery added 37 cents, or 0.47 percent, to settle at 78.48 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for July delivery increased by 37 cents, or 0.45 percent, to settle at 83.33 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
