China loses to Qatar in AFC Asian Cup

DOHA, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- China lost to Qatar 1-0 in the final round of Group A at the AFC Asian Cup here on Monday.

Hasan Al Haydos came off the bench to volley home from outside the box for the hosts in the 66th minute, after a precise corner cross from Akram Afif.

China failed to score in the tournament and finished third in the group with two draws and one loss.
