U.S. dollar ticks down

NEW YORK, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Friday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.1 percent to 106.120 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
