U.S. dollar ticks down

NEW YORK, March 22 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell noticeably in late trading on Wednesday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.87 percent to 102.3679 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
